Dell Xps M1210 Webcam Driver Windows 7
I have a Dell XPS M1210 originally with Windows XP, I upgraded to Vista and later to 7, the problem is when I upgraded to 7 i had problems since i didn't delete any information, after this i decided to reformat the laptop using windows 7 (deleting the entire partitions) and aftet the installation of 7 i downloaded all drivers and everything was working fine, except the fan was makin a loud noise I decided to open the entire laptop and cleaned it, and put it back. After this the fan's noise quieted down, but the webcam is no longer working, It says that it needs drivers, and when I install it, at first it told me to plugged in the cam (built-in cam), after uninstalling and installing the driver a couple of times the camera got detected when installing the driver, but after this when I try to use it it says that no cam is currently installed. When I go to Devices it shows an unspecified device, USB composite device. I have not been able to find a driver that actually works, or can the problem be the cam is not compatible with windows 7, or when I opened the laptop how can I know which wire is the webcam's. When I rotate the cam the laptop makes a sound similar to when you plugged in a USB device i guess it detects the cam for a couple of seconds, what might be the problem.
